Yasmeen Russul Saib

BA (Hons) in Primary Education, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

Though a qualified Primary Teacher, Yasmeen began her teaching career in an inner-city Secondary School in Moss Side, Manchester as the SEN Transition Teacher working with Year 7 and 8 pupils. For 4 years, she taught a class of pupils with a range of special educational needs. After a few years, she also acquired leadership positions as Curriculum Area Leader of Transition and Primary Liaison Leader. Prior to her teaching career, she worked as a Legal Secretary for an International Law Firm in London. Yasmeen has experience teaching in Yangon, Myanmar where she taught Year 5 in a British International School. Recently, she has been teaching in a British Preparatory School in Hong Kong as the English and Science specialist to Years 5-8. 

Through her teaching approach, she believes in creating an inclusive, exciting and stimulating classroom environment so pupils can flourish by allowing opportunities for creativity, building confidence and encouraging a passion for learning. Her main interests outside of the classroom are reading, travelling, exercise and spending time with her nieces and nephew. She is also a qualified Zumba Instructor. Yasmeen is really excited to be living in Vietnam and being a part of the Saigon Star family!
